  • What Goes into Creating a Painting Estimate?

The first step to getting your painting estimate is contacting one of our representatives by phone or email. It’s important that we know the details of the painting job, such as type of walls, type of paints, and size of the job to give you the most accurate estimate. After this, we’ll give you an estimate based on the cost of labor and materials.

  • Do You Use Oil-Based or Acrylic-Based Paints?

We use both types of paint depending on the nature of the job.
Oil-based paints are best for trim work along windows and doors, metal surfaces, and priming. Oil-based paints provide a smooth, glossy finish and are less prone to wear and tear.
Acrylic paints are the most common type of paint you will see on the market. We use water-based acrylic paints for most painting situations, such as interior and exterior walls, siding, drywall, and wood.

  • How Much Do Painters Charge?

We consider several factors for the price of a painting job, such as the size of the room, the number of rooms, labor and material prices.

  • Are You Insured and Licensed?

We carry full liability WCB insurance for 5 million dollars, we are licensed with the City of Calgary

  • What Makes Some Paints More Expensive Than Others?

Inexpensive paint is heavily diluted with solvents and contains a low-grade of pigments and resins. While it may look nice, budget paints will require more coats and future re-applications. High-quality paints aren’t as diluted. By choosing high-quality paint, the final product will be a beautiful and durable finish that will last for many years.

  • Can You Paint Acrylic Over a Surface That Was Previously Painted with Oil?

Yes, however, before we do, the surface must be cleaned and sanded. Oil-based paints are glossy and if we apply acrylic-based paint to a glossy surface, it won’t bond to the wall and won’t look as professional.

  • How Do I Get an Estimate?

You can arrange to book an estimate either online or by calling our customer service representative. A consultant will ask some basic preliminary questions, and you’ll then have the option of booking a walk-through appointment. The walk-through appointment is generally more thorough, and you’ll be able to ask in-depth questions and explain your needs.

  • How Do I Prepare for Your Visit?

Before we visit for an interior job, we recommend that you remove precious furniture or cover it in a layer of plastic to avoid damage.
For exterior painting, please remove any debris and hazards that might danger our professionals. Be sure to cover any gardens or plants and keep your pets indoors.

  • How Does Your 2-in-1 Paint and Primer Products Work?

Paint and primer are a common 2-in-1 product on the market. We only recommend using this product if we are painting over a surface that has already been painted.
